I have been taking Culture Media class for almost 7weeks. During this term, I have learnd many things from my class mates who are from many different countries. We had talked many things such as world social topic, many different countries's culture and hot issues.
I have a lot of intersting topics. If I have to choose the most interesting topic, it is that how American think about Iraq war because few weeks ago, most U.S troops comeback to the United States from Iraq. So, I was wondering that how they think about Iraq war. American's thinking is that U.S goverment just spent a lot of money during the 7years and lost many soldiers in Iraq. Even, some of american think like that why always U.S goverment interfere in another country's business. Actually,I was suprised that some of american do not know about U.S has helped many countries. So, I told to him. "United States had been working very hard for another country's liberty. Especially, many U.S troops died in Korea war even though the troops did not know well about Korea. However they just fought for Korea's democracy." After that his think changed.
in addition we talked about adoption. international studesnts asked to American students, why many american celebrities adopt children who are from other countries? according to what american students said, celevrities think that adoption is like shopping. a celebrity wants to show to the general public that we are doing good job.Also, we talked about different countries's adoption laws. In every country we are able to adopt and they can change children's name. However, students who from Arabions can not change children's name, when they adopt children. During this term,I have learned many differnet culture during the this term. it would be help to extend my general idea. Also, this class gave to me chance for make American friends. we will meet continually.
